It's a Christmas Miracle

I know it's a miracle, I'm actually updating my blog! Well it has literally been years since my sister in law Melanie set up this blog for me and I've put a total of 2 posts on it! I have wanted to start blogging since we moved to Az this last summer so we could keep our friends and family updated on our life, and just haven't. So this is my new start. I won't promise that I will be very consistent at times, but i do promise it won't take 2 more years to hear from us again! So more posts to come and possibly a new site/name I'll let ya know!

Washington D.C. Trip

(This is an old post that I started last summer, evidently I never posted it but I am putting it on here for memory sake. I decided that I would do a blog and make it into a memory book for our family because I'm not the greatest at keeping a journal. My friend told me how she does that and how it's been so nice to have for their family. So I thought I'd give it a try. Hence the old post. Just skip over it...kinda old news to most of you!)

So first of all, don't everyone die of shock! Yes this is me finally adding a 3rd post to my blog established well over a year ago! My wonderful sister in law set me up and introduced me to the world of blogging long ago, and I just didn't ever get into it. But now that we have moved I am going to try to start blogging again after many requests of friends and family so they can see what we're up to down her in AZ. So it won't be anything fancy....I don't really know how to do it yet, call me blog retarded. But here is my first try in a very long time.
Tanner and I are headed for Washington D.C in a week with my family! My dad is receiving a Presidential award for health care management. ( I don't know the actual title! This is his second one of this type..pretty rare. We are very proud of him.) The first time he got this type award I was on my mission in Boise and didn't get to go with my family back to D.C. where we used to live. My family has been in Tucson since we moved from that area for the last 14 yrs and I have never been back since we moved. I am really excited to go. And luckily he is using his frequent flyer miles so all of us...well, Me, Tanner, Jessica, Darrin, Adrienne, Markee, and my Mom can go. The only down side is Nate won't be able to go with us. He has to stay and work, poor guy I feel really bad he has to be the responsible one and stay home while I go and have fun. We're trying to save his time off to go to Utah to see Nate's family at Christmas this year. Plus we just went to Sea World last month too. Anyway, I will post things about our new house and update everyone on everything else that has been going on when we get back.

Our Spring Break

Well as you might be able to tell, I am not very good at this blogging thing. Considering this is the first time I've been on here since I set up this blog. Anyway, since previous to this year Nathan has never had a spring break because he was doing his bachelors at BYU (they don't have a spring break) So we decided at the last minute to go meet Adrienne and Dusty in San Diego and go to Sea World. It was a blast and a much needed vacation/break from life!
